Workshops

So you have some writing that you’ve made – now what? If you’re ready to dive deeper into your development, a workshop is a great next step. See below for our current offerings.

Good old fashioned giving-and-receiving-feedback on in-progress short stories and novel excerpts, with accountability in a community of fellow writers. Runs Wednesday nights May 15, 29, June 5-26 from 7-9pm at Main Street Coworking. Participants should plan to come to all (or at least most) of the workshop sessions; each person will have up to two pieces workshopped over the course of the 6 weeks. Participants will read the work of their peers before each meeting and be prepared to engage in lively and in-depth discussions. Open to all experience levels, but participants should have existing work to be workshopped (i.e., we won’t be offering time to generate new work). The workshop is capped at 6 people and the cost per person is $75, payable by cash, check, or Venmo. To register, please write to Lily Greenberg in the Contact Form with your interest and experience level.

Who is speaking to whom, and how does tone inform the relationship? Come explore these questions in your poems and works of other poets in this workshop taught by Lily Greenberg, MFA. Good for anyone looking to sharpen the voice of their poems. Runs Monday nights June 3 – July 1, 7-9pm at Main Street Coworking. The workshop is capped at 8 people and the cost per person is $200, payable by cash, check, or Venmo. Scholarships are available. To register, please write to Lily Greenberg in the Contact Form with your interest and experience level.
